College reunion

We took a break from house work this weekend to drive to our alma mater for B.'s 5-year reunion. We saw some great friends, including several people whom we have not seen since graduation. Alas, a weekend is too little time to really catch up with everyone, and there were several people that we really wanted to spend more time with and just couldn't. And for various reasons, a lot of our time was spent hanging out with people with whom we had only been loosely acquainted during our college years, which left us both thinking, Why didn't we hang out with these people more when we were in school? Of course, too, there were so many people who were absent but whom we would have loved to have seen.

The weather was quite warm (and so humid--much more than Cleveland, which I'd forgotten), so we were able to spend a lot of time outside on the lawn and walking in the woods. We also managed to fit in a compulsory cheesesteak, and on Sunday evening we had a great sushi dinner (complete with boat!) with friends in Philly. In all, it was a great weekend, and we're looking forward to returning for my 5-year reunion next spring.

Thanks and hello to our friends who are reading this! We've always space in Cleveland, and you're always welcome to stay or just say hello on your way through.

Ha ha. :) I still wouldn't say "changed" in the past tense, because it is still an effort that is under way, but, yeah, I'm really beginning to appreciate it. I continue to be a little conscious of it while I'm eating it, and the feeling of it in my belly is really strange to me, but I can now say I like it.
